Through the University of Valencia, the PCUV belongs to the Emprendia Network, the Latin American Enterprise Incubation University Network. Its aim is to make the universities' third mission an axis of strategic action in both Spain and Latin America in the field of knowledge and thought economics.
This network serves as a means of encouraging and strengthening relations between universities and business, and of fostering an entrepreneurial culture.
A total of 12 universities across Spain and Latin America belong to the Emprendia Network, enabling them to enjoy mutual enrichment, exchange of expertise and research, and mobility of researchers and teaching staff.
The University of Valencia Science Park is the Valencia Community's Emprendia Network Technical Office and its task is to promote research and development training programmes on the theme of entrepreneurship.
The Emprendia Network was founded towards the end of 2006 under an initiative by the University of Barcelona and the University of Santiago de Compostela, supported by Banco Santander (which takes part under the auspices of its Santander Universities and Universia Global Division). In addition to the above, another ten Latin American partner universities take part in the project: Monterrey Technology Institute, University of Sao Paulo, Madrid Autonomous University, Madrid Complutense University, Pontificia University of Cantabria, University of Coimbra, University of Buenos Aires and University of Valencia.
