On the road to an added value, sustainable, intelligent and integrating industry, Big Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are key elements to provide it with greater operational efficiency and a more agile response capacity in different competitive areas, from the medical diagnosis to the management of the human capital in a company, among many others.

In this context, the impetus for the implementation of these two technological innovations in the economy of knowledge will be a determining factor in the near future, since it will limit the strengths or weaknesses of the states. And, at this point, where is Spain? At the moment, urging the publication of the draft of a White Paper on Big Data and Artificial Intelligence, in whose Committee of Experts work, among others, the economist Andrés Pedreño and the jurist Javier Plaza.

The two, in-depth knowledge of these disruptive technologies, are the ones who drive the weight of this ebook, which reflects on its applications in its economic, legal and practical aspects. In this presentation they will advance the contents and main points to be taken into account by the users of these tools.

Two incipient startups, Santa Barbara Smart Health and Nouss Intelligence, have also participated in the writing of this paper, whose main work tools are IA-based engines.
